There
are many hazards in machinery and equipment which can be potentially
dangerous to the user or people near the object. There are
different ways to deal with protecting people from the hazard.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code of
ethics states as its first fundamental tenet that "Engineers
shall hold paramount the safety, health and welfare of the
public in the performance of their professional duties".
The American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) includes
this code of ethics within their constitution. It is clear
that safety should be the first and foremost design parameter
for any engineering project. Guarding is an important element
in industrial safety.
Ryan Engineering
engineers have a broad background in machine design and guarding.
We have also developed warnings and alternative guarding design.
